I do put it at bdc as well as use after run oil

and its says that stock settings for the hsn is 3-31/2 turns from closed. Does that mean to screw it in all the way and then back it out 3-3 1/2 turns or what??

Yep that's it. But if doing that with the LSN you need to be ultra careful because it will gouge up the seat on the other side; so go super slow and easy, and when it just touches then back out from there.

I havent touched the lsn yet but Ive heard to only turn it when the engine is running
