if the front hubs are like the slash 4x4's the 2.2 wheel wont fit over it. you would have to use a 2.2 with a significant offset.
Thank you god, the death of the cursed 2.2 wheels has come. Umm did I say that out loud. LOL

no the 2.2 wheel will never truely die! this looks good. it'd be nice to see traxxas use this platform to make a 1/8th scale electric buggy.

The two known 2.2's that are a direct fit are RPM Revolver "Wide" crawler wheels and OFNA Pirate 10 rims.

Good luck finding Pirate 10 wheels...haven't they been extinct for a while now, or was that another 2.2 Ofna wheel?

Hm, I wonder when the front shock mount will be available, along with the (I presume) longer tie rods. That alleviate my two minor concerns about doing the wide mod to my 2wd.

Why longer tie rods than the Slash 4x4?

hm, i was just re-reading the wide mod thread. The steel tie rods are fine, especially with the longer ends. I'm just wrong. The issue is that I have aluminum junk on mine, which can not be safely extended to accomodate the wide mod. You're right, there is no reason they would be longer than the slash 4x4.
