almost all will say it depends on what your driving on. so what kind of surfaces will you be on?
i use the kumhos for bashing, and the stock bfgs
i think im going to get the proline calibers for racing when it starts.

A good basher setup is proline trenchers or gladiator tires on whatever rim you like, Like split six beadlocks or the glue on versions all though the beadlocks will be heavier. DE makes trinidad wheels, JConcepts makes SC wheels to-There's alot of options.

Racing tires really depend on what surface you'll be racing on. See what the other's at the track are running so you don't spend money on the wrong tires.

youve got a good point. i think i'll buy a set for bashing first and glue them to my stock rims and then i'll do some research on the best tire thread for my local track and get some new rims for those. by the way, what battery do you preffer running on your slash 4x4?

Mine's still VXL'ed so I run 2s/3s lipo's. Gens ace, Blue lipo, sky lipo, Turnigy, Flightmaxx-run em' all. Best bang for the buck battery imop right now is the gens ace 2s or 3s 40c 5000mah hardcase's (the 2s is $35 and 3s is $50). I use my blue lipo's alot since thats what I have the most of. There not the greatest (graphs and numbers wise) but they work great for everyday bashing and a 2s is like $20. Check out SPC lipo's to, Jang's gotta review on one-popular race battery's that have come down in price the last couple weeks.

gens ace 2s 40c 5000mah llipo. Get like 30-45 minute runtimes. its pretty awesome at 35 bucks.

3s does run hot so you'll need a fan on the esc and a heatsink or fan/heatsink combo on the motor to cool them down.
