Haha, Very true. Unless it's top level off road racing....Well at least the last couple laps can be entertaining.

These two gents are a little late to the party. All of your "issues" were repeated ad nauseam months ago. People have accepted or let go by this point. On top of which, the XO-1 is now $899 shipped from Tower, and that's full retail. Jang did a budget build that made a ~60mph XO-1 RTR for around $600.

It's an expensive car, part of an expensive hobby. I've yet to hear from anyone that bought one and was anything but happy with it.
I was on time to the party, maybe fashionably late. This just popped up on my subbed threads list.

after owning it since the 1st week it came out up until now , I probably have close to couple hundred in replacing parts eg. plastics , shafts , bearings, thats not including tires and bodies . Really IMHO it is and it isnt worth it in the end . Dont care what car is out there no matter how real the scale look . It makes my 1/8 scale look like a 1/10
Traxxas warrenty has been great , they not only replaced parts that were my fault but sent the whole pack of parts instead of replacing just the peice . Dont know many others that will do that .. for 1100 you would figure they go out of their way for a customer spending that type of coin on a rc car .

My gtp2e on the other hand has took every peice of abuse even crashing head on into gaurd rail and so far only have broken a arm holder. probably has more miles on it then my xo-1 and bearings and shafts and diffs and everything else had held up without one issue except for couple set screws coming loose .
My XO-1 seems to break a arm or arm holder everytime out and I dont mind so much the replacing the part as much as having to dissasemble everything over n over .

What would of been great but then so would be winning the lotto , is being able to bash at low speeds and be able to run 100mph without having to go in and swap gears . but now we cant get everything we want

Even if I never take it off the shelf again, I've already gotten my moneys worth as far as I'm concerned and I haven't even broken anything on it yet. There is no other RC I can buy brand new that will do what my XO-1 has done. The dollar count for my Slash and the parts required to make it go 76mph (with some degree of control) adds up to more than an XO-1 price tag. Even at the lethargic pace of 76mph the Slash is still harder to handle than the XO-1 at 100mph.

I got my slash to 70mph , with $25 set of 17mm slicks and mamba 2200 on 6s . id be lying if I didnt feel more comfortable with it then my XO-1 at high speeds .. probably cuz i paid 1/3 wht i paid for xo-1 so didnt hurt as bad to see it crash

in the end i have no regrets , might regret buying a brand new roller and XL2 mamba speed control since they been sitting all summer long and feel bad to try to make it go 110mph or faster only to break or have somthing burn up lol

havnt seen you posting on the traxxas forums , they didnt ban ya did they >?

No I'm not banned.....just my videos. Their lawyers told them leaving them up would be considered condoning illegal acts. These are my first of any forum posts in months. Put the RC's down to play with motorcycles for awhile.
