well this is the 2nd time today my rear pushrods have been ripped appart

i have put the suspension out to maximum travel and taken these photos

as you can see at maximum travel the pushrod is too short and is pulled out of the rod end.this happens with stock traxxas rod ends as well as the rpm ones i currently have

i have number 2 rockers for the suspension fitted all round.dunno of that makes any difference

as you can see at the top of the pushrod it has been ripped out and i lost the blue collar so i replaced it with 3 small washers

they are the same size as the stock traxxas ones that were fitted to the vehicle to begin with

i bought this erevo 2nd hand and im wondering if the pushrod length is too short, perhaps someone swapped it before i bought it???

does anyone have a stock pushrod they can measure for me so i can compare lengths please?

i just measured mine with a digital vernier, its 101.88mm long

I was gonna ask if you bought it second hand haha. Sounds like someone didn't put back parts in the right spot. I'd measure the pushrods on my revo but I'm still at work.

if you can measure them for me please when you get home from work that would be great

i just rang a local hobby store, they have steel tube and threded bar for practically nothing

i might nip down there and buy some threaded bar and hollow tube.i can put the threaded bar thru the hollow tube to help strengthen it and make my own custom rods myself

I just hopped on tower's site and it says part #5318X (red rods) is 137mm (5.4in) end to end with the rod ends on them and they must be used with P1, P2 or LT rockers.

The 5319x is for P3 rockers. The 5318x is for P1, P2, & LT rockers. It doesn't mention P2 in the description (or even on the packaging), but it is printed directly on the pushrod itself. I think I've heard something about needing spacers to lengthen them for P2, but don't see any spacers in the package and am not sure about the details on this.

Spacers are 5133.

the pushrods im talking about are 5318

ah ha! i just measured my tie rods from end to end with the rod ends on them mine are 128.23mm long!!!

too darn short! DAMN IT!!!!!

oh well, at least i know why it keeps ripping to bits

my erevo has rocker number 2 fitted. i need to put on rocker 1 or 3!!!

Your welcome , Glad ya got it figured it out. I'm kinda confused by the whole rocker situation so I just left what came on my revo-works fine for me

I also measured a front pushrod on my e-revo (which use to be a 2.5r nitro model ) It's 125.9mm so basically 126mm long pushrod w/ the rod ends on and fully threaded from end to end. It has P1 rockers on it.
