Thanks! Will I need a servo saver? (I am not even sure what that is. Perhaps a capacitor?)

well lets start with what a servo saver is. its a (normally spring loaded) device that is a fail point for the steering rack so that the force of an impact isnt transferred to the servo. in 1/8th scale cars its normally built into the car. in some cars like the traxxas pede/rusty/bandit/slash you need one that is screwed onto the servo in place of a "horn".

do a quick search on the forum and youll get a few good threads on the subject.

the car has a servo saver built into the chassis (as most 1/8th scale cars do) so you just use the blue horn included with the 7955. turn on the car with the servo hooked up to the rx and center your steering trim. bolt the servo to the car and attach the servo horn to the steering link coming off the bellcrank. then center the horn on the servo and screw the horn down onto the servo. use just a tidbit of blue/medium thread lock on the screw.

well it runs off the rx not the esc but no it should drop in.

oh i forgot you need to drill out the servo horn hole to fit an m3/4-40 screw.

drill out the top hole in the horn with a 7/64 bit
