Got a Spektrum DX3C for Christmas, wanted to install the included SR300 receiver in my MERV.

The darn thing DOES NOT FIT in the receiver box! I've got the new-style receiver box lid, and the lid just will not close with the SR300 inside.

Argh!

I know they make smaller receivers, but the SR300 is pretty small, and I thought it would fit--it's barely bigger than the TRX receiver. I had to reinstall the TRX receiver again after ripping it all out.

Thanks for reading my rant. Hope this keeps someone from having the same issue.

Yeah, I want to keep it "waterproof" if possible. Looking forward to snow bashing.

I was gonna get the SR3500. Is the DSM2 in the SR3520 worth the extra money?

Thanks.

The 3520's seem to pop up on ebay for a little cheaper for some reason

i had a customer who had the same problem. i took his sr300 and traded him for a mr200. works and fits great, the mr comes with 2 antennas so he wrapped one around the rx and ran the other one in the stock postion

SR3520 fits nicely. It's amazing how much smaller this is than the SR300 or the Traxxas 2218X. Thanks for the tip on the MR200, shift.

@electroskate..... I had the same prob but made it fit by filing the rx box down on the one corner it actually hits on. And then I went and got an Integy cover, didn't fit that either so made THAT work......never knew about that little 3520!! Gonna get one and save the 300 for a 1/10 ! Question: looks like the plugs on the 3520 go the opposite direction? Vertical? And still an aux?
