How 'bout a thread all about the slash 4x4 racers out there? Any tips, setups, ideas, whatever, post them up!
I myself am interested in any tips for high traction, smooth, tight indoor tracks. Clay tracks to be precise.
Feel free to post up race results of your truck, videos of your truck racing, setup sheets for your truck, anything you can think of that pretains to slash 4x4's in racing.
I'll start by showing a video of my truck. I was in the B-main and got 3rd or 4th place, only beaten by SC10 4x4's...
I'm the blue and black chevy, as seen in my avatar.
I actually started with the slayden setup, but it slowly morphed with my own flavors as I found stuff later that didn't work out so well for a tight track. All because of experience.
Anyone else?

Well, there's Jang. As stated in his "racer's perspective" review, he could keep up with the more race-inspired trucks. I would like to race my slash 4x4, but my local track doesn't allow 2wd trucks with motors below 11 turns, let alone a 4x4 with a castle 1410 motor.
Xslash insanity: does your track even have a 4x4 sc class?

No, the only open class we have is 2wd 1/10 buggy, and even that's limited. All of the rest are 17.5 2wd classes, as they just killed spec slash in favor of stock sct.
When my local track was still open , I ran JConcepts supersoft Subcultures (clay track) and they hooked up really nicely with enough slide in the corners to not traction roll . It would probably be a good idea to put lighter shock oil in the rear for more traction when you squeeze the throttle.

Not offering any tips, just a comment, that's BRUTAL, I watched 90 seconds of your video. @0:35 what a terrible pass to take 1st. Spin him out and drive away, terrible.

I would've been much better in the standings if it wasn't for lap traffic. I'm good for the first few laps but when I start to lap the slower guys over THEY DON'T MOVE...

I think the SC10 comes with better shocks and a lower center of gravity. However the slash seems to be much stronger. I have both. My associated is a little better on the track but the slash is a better basher and still fun at the track.
