Decided to revive my old thread because I'm gettting a Tekin RS, Futaba 4PL, and Savox SC1258TG for christmas and will be getting some 16mm shocks from an exceed buggy, too cheap to pass up.

In short, I'll be completely overhauling my setup.

Which motor will the Tekin RS drive? If I may, I'd suggest the Hobbywing SCT Pro ESC.( Suggesting this because you seem like you want to run sensored)

Do let us know how the Exceed shocks work. I'd love to use bigger shocks.

@indy can't wait to hear how the new setup works out but when you had the old setup and lowered the shocks all the way what did you think of the handling (steering and landing)

Well, it worked great for the situation I was dealing with. I needed a car able to rotate into a corner at a decent speed (most of the track requires nothing more than 1/2 throttle) through 90* and lower degree corners. I ran top of the B-main with the stock chassis and I was just so close but so far from being in the A main.

Now that I have the SSC chassis, that adds lots of weight and I'm already at the heaviest springs I can find that will fit the Ultra shocks. I need something more, and shocks that are 19 a pair are just screaming at me to buy them.

After new year's I'll be hitting the track and working on my car a lot!

@iamahuman: Thanks for the recommendation, but I already know I'm getting the RS...it'll be powering my 1410 3800kv Castle. I just threw a fan on it because I didn't want the fan to go to waste. I originally had it on the Sidewinder ESC, but when I gave it to castle to replace it, they gave me the new design Sidewinder that has a fan already installed.

The Tekin RS is not a suggested ESC to run 4 pole motors. It would be more at home in your B4.1. I'd urge you to re-consider your choice of ESC....

I agree with Charles Montgomery "Monty" Burns or Mr. Burns for short aka iamahuman.

Tekin RS is for 2wd buggy/stadium trucks not heavy 4x4 SCT's.
