protracs are sweet and u do notice better handling. make sure you get the ones with the proline label on em...these are the fixed ones that do not break.

that's the point- to reduce air thru the body- if it cant get in it cant parachute! what does get in is forced over the motor/esc and then over the internal wing on/in the rear bumper. i cant get quite the airspeed as the 4wd buggys, but i am way more stable than the rest of the sct's at my track without all the holes in my body.

and i race at a large outdoor track with a very long front straight and a huge step-up jump. need all the areo help you can get there. google xrcraceway. awesome track just across the PA line from me

Well, just ordered a Brushless Hobbies 120A LT4 speed control. Also ordered 2 pairs of Exceed Madfire front shocks.

When I get my goodies installed there will be pictures

whats up with the madfire shocks? they look pretty beefy and threaded- I am looking forward to you letting us know how they work. that is the last piece of my racing puzzle. big bores are great for heats but in a longer main they tend to fade and the rear gets a bit sloppy and underdamped

My set up on my slash 4x4 is for indoor clay track but this is what I'm running

Also did the Steve S. setup
Front-
Pro-line sc shocks with 60wt traxxas rear springs. Top of the shock tower I'm at the outer hole 3rd one and for the a-arms I'm 3rd to the last hole with rpm a-arms

Rear-
Pro-line sc shocks/springs 60wt, middle hole shock tower. Rpm a-arms 2nd to last hole with black sway bars

Tires I'm running hole shotsc 2.0 all around
Motor castle sct 3800kv with the sct side winder esc

35c 5000mah lipo Stock steering servo, stock diff I have the racing diff but dose it make that big of a diff for racing because I haven't raced in a year going to 702rcraceway soon and I want to hang with losi and as

Anyone know anything else I should do? Also should I get the LCG chassis and which one is the best but not to much

I bet you could do fine with the traxxas parts for the LCG.

@everyone: I will be sure to let everyone know how the Madfire shocks work. They are on their way.

get an lcg! you will not believe the difference in handling. I got the ssc aluminum, the carbon seemed too fragile for my driving... I cant say I know too much about the traxxas chassis but it does retain the enclosed center bearing, that makes me not look twice at it
