This will be an evolving post that I will update periodically.

Please provide a link to your favorite charger and lets see how it stacks up to the competition!

Ordered by the most cost effective in terms of PRICE/POWER:

If you are handy, you can save a small fortune by converting a computer power supply for a dedicated 12V DC for practically free.

If the multi-port chargers are too expensive, you can buy a parallel board or make a series connector similar to this:
http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=123350

DC Chargers:
$130 - Turnigy Mega (800W) = 0.16 / W *** 2 port charger
$159 - iCharger 306b (1000W) = 0.16 / W *** (requires 24V supply, only 500W @ 12V supply = 0.32 / W)
$70 - GT Power A620 (400W) = 0.18 / W *** (requires >15V supply, only 320W @ 12V supply = 0.22 / W)
$176 - iCharger 3010B (1000W) = 0.18 / W *** (requires 24V supply, only 500W @ 12V supply = 0.36 / W)
$175 - Powerlab 6 (1000W) = 0.18 / W *** (requires 30V supply, only 408W @ 12V supply = 0.43 / W)
$350 - iCharger 4010Duo (2000W) = 0.18 / W *** 2 port charger (requires 24V supply, only 1000W @ 12V supply = 0.36 / W)
$189 - Thunder 1030 (1000W) = 0.19 / W ***(5V-38V supply)
$16 - HobbyKing Pocket Rocket (80W) = 0.20 / W
$80 - SkyRC (400) = 0.20 / W
$279 - Powerlab 8 (1344W) = 0.21 / W *** (requires 26.35V supply, only 612W @ 12V supply = 0.46 / W)
$65 - Turnigy Reaktor (300W) = 0.22 / W
$129.95 - Hyperion EOS1420i Net3 (550W) = 0.24 / W
$30 - Turnigy X120 (120W) = 0.25 / W
$13.50 - iMAX B6 (50W) = 0.27 / W
$109.95 - B6 Duo (400W) = 0.28 / W *** 2 port charger
$59.95 - B610 (200W) = 0.29 / W
$89 - Thunder 620 (300W) = 0.29 / W *** (10-28V supply)
$89 - Thunder 1220 (300W) = 0.30 / W ***(11-15V supply)
$119 - Thunder T8 (400W) = 0.30 / W *** 2 port charger @ 200W each (11-18V supply)
$120 - Turnigy 4X6 (400W) = 0.30 / W *** 4 port charger
$11.25 - iMAX B4 (35W) = 0.32 / W
$130 - GT Power A620 (400W) = 0.33 / W *** (requires >15V supply, only 320W @ 12V supply = 0.40 / W)
$130 - Turnigy 10XC (400W) = 0.33 / W *** 2 port charger @ 200W each (10-32V supply)
$179.95 Hyperion EOS730i Net3 (550W) = 0.33 / W
$270 - Thunder Power TP820 (800W) = 0.34 / W *** 2 port charger @ 400W each (requires 24V supply, only 400W @ 12V supply = 0.70 / W)
$119 - Thunder T6 (320W) = 0.37 / W *** 4 port charger @ 80W each (11-18V supply)
$51 - GensAce - iMars (50W) = 1.02 / W
  • specs for hyperion EOS 1420 and 730 models are missing, so price per watt at 12v cannot be extrapolated.
    • not a single charger on hobbypartz has this info, either. though, most of them may not require high enough power for above 12v to be necessary.
  • though the thunder 1030 only states it needs 5v to 38v input from the power supply, you're certainly not going to get the full rated 1000 watts out of a 5v supply and it's doubtful even with 12v considering it has a 38v input max. something to be weary of if you do need upwards nearing the chargers full potential.
AC Chargers:

$27 - HobbyKing ECO-SIX (80W) = 0.34 / W *** US C5 Power Cord extra
$31 - HobbyKing JAC (80W) = 0.39 / W
$54 - HobbyKing dLux (130W) = 0.46 / W *** $45 with buddy code @ 0.35/W
$99 - B610ACPro (200W) 0.49 / W
$50 - HobbyKing X100 (100W) = 0.50 / W
$180 - EV-Peak Q6320AC (320W) = 0.56 / W *** 4 port
$46 - iMAx B6AC (80W) = 0.58 / W
$120 - EV-Peak D610 (200W) = 0.60/ W *** 2 port
$50 - Thunder AC680 (80W) = 0.63 / W
$32 - iMax B6AC (50W) = 0.64 W
$270 - Dynamite Passport Duo (200W) = 0.68 / W *** 2 port
$38 - Dynam DC6 (50W) = 0.77 / W
$40 - GT Power CD6(50W)= 0.80 / W
$43 - Thunder AC6 (50W) = 0.86 / W
$50 - EcoPower 65AC (50W) = 0.99/W
$90 - Dynamite Prophet Sport Duo (100W) = 0.99 / W *** 2 port charger @ 50W each
$210 - Hitec X4 (200W) = 1.05 / W *** 4 port @ 50W each
$55 - DTX Onyx 150 (50W) = 1.10 / W
$129.95 - Hyperion EOS720i Net3 (90W) = 1.44 / W
$120 - DTX Onyx 245 (80W) = 1.50 / W

include some low end chargers as well, some people have a budget of 50 bucks or so for a charger. A price per watt would be nice for the cheaper options as well even thought it probably isn't as good a ratio compared to the most expensive stuff. Thanks Bill

links would be helpful guys, I'll try to add the HobbyPartz chargers tomorrow

Also note that ValueHobby has chargers that come with deans connectors as well as all their batteries which is a huge savings in both time and $ plus they sell deans to TRX connectors for $2 making this place the way to go for entry level hobbyists who want a quality charger without having to learn how to solder

Hmmm... I wonder how the Hyperion chargers stack up? Mine has lasted a while, nice software. Also, are you going to be listing the price per watt of AC chargers as both max on AC and DC?
