Check out the specs and the picture again. They both state it is a 4-pole.
Most true 1/8th motors are 4 pole.

Here is another motor in the same price range 4 pole just not sensored. The only thing I hate about these motors that they have such long wires ten inches I have to cut them in half to keep them form flapping around inside the truck chassis.

...and not even applicable to this discussion, I'm afraid. We want sensored for a reason. The Tenshock SC401 is a snesorless 3663, where the Trackstar is a sensored 4268. Not even in the same league.
