I guess you could go with out the RX box and battery hold down stuff and use velcro (which I already have).

So you can save $17.
Ya ikr i thought it would be like the chassis and maybe bulkheads

To make sure I understand this, the Traxxas Rally can be converted to the 4x4 with just the front and rear bumpers and body mounts? (In my case, I would be purchasing from scratch, so I'd need electronics and Tx/Rx, and will mostly bash with it, or visit a local club to race amateur from time to time.)

All Traxxas's come ready to run. So no electronics needed.

I would start with an ebay roller personally instead of buying the RTR, you can build a much better more durable Slash 4x4 for about the same price as the RTR's.

Hi everyone.

I'm looking to do this conversion too. Props to you fella's for puttin in the time and effort.
I'm thinking about buying a 2nd slash for my son.
I have a standard chassis ultimate - and thinking of upgrading it to the LCG rally chassis, and buying a new LCG Ultimate for my boy. (his current/former car caught fire c/o Lipo LOL)

I had a real good look at the Rally and new Ultimate Slash 4x4 on the Traxxas website.
Could that be the EXACT same chassis?
Are there minor differences I'm not seeing?
(If it's all the same chassis etc., that would be perfect for me, as it means both cars share the spare parts...)

Thanks!

Likely going to be quite a wait for parts. I have had them on order for quite some time now.. I feel bad for anyone with a Rally 1/10 that is playing with it out in the cold and breaks something that is not yet stocked by anyone.... really bad planning by traxxas, they should have gotten parts out there as quick as the trucks..

Traxxas is horrible with having spare parts available for the all new models.

I've been watching ebay for the LCG chassis and still nothing. I'm not buying any LCG parts until I can at least get the chassis.

Setup an alert on ebay. I've been notified a few times that a chassis has been available. Last one was on 1/4 $22 shipped.
You can't understand cuz you're listening too slow.
