Has anyone thought of using something like a felt washer? They would be easy to trim to fit, you could glue them in, and it would be a tight but have some play to not put any strain on the driveline.

What about Silly Putty? I saw a video on YouTube where a guy wrapped the shaft in fuzzy velcro, then secured/sealed it with silicone caulk.

This lead me to the Silly Putty thought; I'd just wrap it around the shaft but not pack it so tight that the shaft can't spin freely.

Thoughts?

Just a quick update. Velcro was not really working. Keeps on coming off and binding the shaft everytime I take out the Spash.

Trying a new method that seems to be more effective consisting of electrical tape being wrapped around the shaft. I do it on two different sections. One thick one outside of the hole to ensure it is not hitting the chassis and a thin one around the hole and chassis section. Here are some pics for your reference:

I used a tube like this (without the JB Weld); http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...Driveshaft-Mod
and post #7 here (I found 1/2 inch too large); http://radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=259359
I used a 15/32 brass tube from the hardware store, and zip tied the bearing end down to keep the shaft centered in the tube.
