I'm 99% certain that these few ESCs are made by SkyRC (Leopard/Toro). It looks too similar to this one from SkyRC

Why?

The x-car series is proven, better specced and cheaper. Again, why?

would it hurt to put some shrink tubing around the capacitor and the wiring like most other brands do?

And the 45A HK branded ESC is cheaper still. At least the xcar controller is smaller, so it has that as a selling point. I can't imagine why somebody would go with the trackstar over the HK.

look at how the cap is heat shrinked in line with the red/black wires to prevent the cap from being ripped out:

Ah, gotcha. But nothing a zip tie doesn't fix. Who else doesn't have a gazillion of the things just laying around?

for the fancy name brand, obviously

I could see them selling pretty quick when all other options are sold out.
I'm sure they'll have no problem selling.

and the 45A has the solder points for a sensor board, but no sensored capabilities?
what would that cost? MAYBE $0.10 more in raw materials to make it sensored capable?

agreed, but I doubt 90% of the folks who buy this are going to correct this simple flaw with a 2 piece of shrink tubing
