MIP shafts for the slash 4x4 suck. The mips snap like candy canes with a 2200kv while my tekno shafts have held up perfect for a year. Tekno will take care of you great service.

I actually managed to break a Tekno part by pure dumb luck. They didn't hesitate to replace it, it just took the extra wait time to mail the broken part back to them before they sent the replacement. I can see where this could be a problem if you live outside the US though.

I still have not heard back from Tekno, what email address are you guys using? I got the diff cups about 2 weeks before christmas, I have called them 3 times and sent 4 emails and still no response. I am a little frustrated....

Hmm..strange, and frustrating. I e-mailed them at teknorc@teknorc.com and got a reply in a day or so. Maybe they take a month off for the holidays? Either way, it's unacceptable that you can't get ahold of them.

So has NO ONE ever broke a Tekno? Also, when said MIP shafts "snapped like candy canes" did you contact MIP to see if it was due to manufacturing? You will say yes, but I doubt it. You posted on the forums about it, got told that they suck, then bought what you were told to buy. I my be wrong, mean nthing bad by it, just am giving my logical deduction. If you did call them please share your details. As well as what part of the axle "snapped" they seem very solid, as the other poster pointed out there weight. I also have no dog in this fight, I only have had MIP and HAVE spoke to them about a problem I thought I had but turned out I made an installation error, and WAS asked by Matt@MIPOnline.com to send pics so he could help. For a basher, the weight is not an issue, I hope my insight is welcome not disregarded.

Mip sent me replacements but as i said i don't like the ones for the 4x4 slash, i run skinny mip cvds on my slash 2wd and cant complain about them at all. I have never had a tekno fail on my but the mips would twist and break at hollow slider side when i was bashing with a 2200kv on a 6 cell lipo. Yes my setup is overkill but it is so much fun. The tekno shafts have held up to my power so for the 4x4 that is my choice and i will recommend them to anyone.

I taked to Matt on the phone and the 6 cell is the problem not a installation problem or a defect just not up to the task of a 6 cell mamba monster.

Sounds great. Your rig sounds SICK! I really meant no offense, I am always a fan of the underdog. Sometimes I get "Raged" when I feel like people are punkin something because THEY didn't like them. Happy New Year!

Well I finally heard back from tekno and I was glad to see they were more than willing to work with me, I didn't even have to ask them but they are paying the shipping and letting me keep my old parts so I will have 4 spare diff cups after I thread the one that was messed up, I told them it was only one diff cup for the rear but they said they were sorry and they would send me 4 new ones free of charge. I am pleased with the outcome but wish it would have never happened in the first place. It made me miss the first 2 Ice races of the season, and since I only spend part of my time up north (michigan) and the rest in Tennessee my Ice racing season is already short enough. But anyway, back to the topic, again I am pleased with the outcome and harbor no negative thoughts towards Tekno.
