I'm running the same setup: BH120A w/ 3800kv on 2S in two trucks-- the mid-motor Slash (FLM box) and Slashipede non-Ultra (RPM box.)

Seriously? I just ordered a hobbywing SC8 with HW 3656 motor at 3400Kv. Only data i can find on the motor is that its 4pole.
Do i need to order a new transmission for my stock Slash 2WD?

No, we're talking about the plastic topshaft gear and aluminum idler, carryovers from a time when 3lb R/C cars didn't have 2hp motors in them. The Magnum gearbox as it comes today can handle a fair amount of punishment.
