I know MIP are the best but maybe these will work too?
MIP are a bit expensive!

I don't know about those, but I have teknos work great for me and I found them for about 40$ a pair new on eBay

The newer designed stub axle MIP's should be strong and sturdy, the older ones were prone to snap the stub axles.

I also went Tekno over MIP, much simpler design and plenty of good reviews on them, plus they're cheaper then the MIP's.

Here's where I bought my Tekno's from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tekno-RC-TKR...item5aec15931f

More like this conversation for the 1,634,839'th time .

That thread just sounds like a bunch of people got parts made at 4:50PM on a Friday , my Tekno's on the rear of my Slash 4x4 were perfectly made from Tekno. Gonna eventually get a set for my Pede 4x4.

I did lots of research before I bought my Teknos. General consensus on the GPMs seemed to be slightly better than Intigy, not as good as Tekno or MIP. Some guys had them last ok, some guys broke them almost right away.

What is the need for the axle upgrade unless your doing the Mamba Monster conversion or similar?I have the Mip shafts because I did some research.I did some trial and error on the stock shafts also can use say twisted like a pretzel.Back to my point they were necessary to have.I still run stock shafts in my Bandit with a Castle 5700kv geared as high as possible.Spend your money on some thing useful like better tires, servo, batteries or charger

The plastic yokes on the stock axles will eventually oval out even on 2s on high traction surfaces (ie street running and such) plus the axles will twist and not slide properly.

At $10 per side if you replace them 4 times then you're at the price of the Tekno's so it makes sense to upgrade to Tekno's once the included stock axles wear out. I simply just refuse to spend anymore money on plastic axles these days.

A lot of it depends on how you drive. I'm not very good and still land with the throttle on a lot which is very hard on the driveshafts. Bashing my stock 4x4, it took 4 months for the stock rear shafts to oval out and twist off, but it did eventually happen. I had spares on hand left over from my Tekno converted truck, but they will twist off again, it's only a matter of time. Eventually, the rears at least will get upgraded since the stock shafts are essentially a maintenance item that I'll need to replace every now and then.

the link you gave says the item is out of stock anyways...end of debate, lol.

id like to try an ebay set, mostly because of one brand that comes in different colors. we should just make a topic "ebay axles" and see the carnage posted there...i mean people only post about products that break these days, which happens to be every single part on the market
