A Main Hobbies have announced that two-time World Champion, Atsushi Hara, will be racing for A Main Hobbies and ProTek RC. For the 2013 season, Hara will be racing with ProTek’s Supreme Power LiPo batteries, Prodigy chargers and ProTek’s complete line of RC accessories. “Hara’s presence will elevate our race team. He is one of the most complete RC racers and an all-around good guy. We are excited to have him race for us. His decision to compete with ProTek RC products is a testament to the brand’s quality and heritage,” said A Main Hobbies CEO Kendall Bennett. Hara’s first race with A Main Hobbies and ProTek RC will be the Reedy Race of Champions held at West Coast RC Raceway in La Mirada, California. “I’m excited to be on the A Main Hobbies race team and to be competing with ProTek RC equipment. A Main Hobbies and ProTek RC have been leading the industry, which was important in my decision,” said, Atsushi Hara.

great driver, expensive batteries! I wonder what makes the ProTek batteries worth the money compared to other brands of similar capacity.

Well they may not be worth it, Atsushi gets them for free so of course he thinks they're great.

He used to race for hot bodies right? And is he still with them or a complete switch over?

Yeah he was Hot Bodies #1 driver. He may still be since neither of these sponsorships conflict with HB, so guess he could still be an HB driver and just use their batteries? Then again the Atsushi Hara D8 buggy HB released a while back was a nitro.

Wait, a main hobbies has hpi cars I think. So I guess he still could be.

Yeah I don't really understand how all that works. Seems he could be on multiple teams as long as they aren't competitors, then again I'm sure the Hot Bodies website holds the answer.

Amain is just an additional sponsor. HB is Hara's chassis sponsor, Amain is his battery, charger, and tool (i think) sponsor. Amain is also sponsor's Ryan Lutz to use Protek gear, and Amain is the full sponsor of Dylan Rodriquez.
