I'll be picking up one of these combos for my Slash 2x4. I'm leaning towards the 4600kv motor. I was a little disappointed to see that they swapped out the 3800kv motor. I think that the 5700kv and above are going to be taxed in my Slash as I love torque and so does my 7 year old son who is the main driver.

think the 4600kv is the right choice. We mainly bash, burnouts, wheelies, little fun stuff like that. Not much fun for us doing speed runs which is why I'm pretty sure the 4600kv is best for us.

Your opinions?

is the 5700 a 4 pole motor? if so it would have plenty of torque and top end

the 4600 the 5700 are both model # 1406. 540 can 4 pole sensorless brushless motors. the #1410 3800kv is a 550 can 4 pole sensorless brushless motor. the 5700 kv should be fine its in the middle of thier 540 can offerings. so pleantly of speed an tourque and still can be ran on 3s lipo. the 6900kv and 7700kv #1406's are for speed runs.

So it seems I would be good to go with either the 4600 or the 5700 kv then.

All the motors you listed are 540 sized although the 3800kv is the most powerful

On a side note, would the 4600kv motor be a good choice for a stock 2wd Stampede? I would like the 3800, but the combo of the SV3 and 4600kv is a good deal.

ya i have the 4600kn in my stampede 2wd and its a great choice. 18 to 87 gearing on 3s lipos it can almost do a standing back flip.
