I just got some rims & tires off ebay and when I received them they were painted. Not a big deal in mybook. But I was wondering what was the most effective way of painting a rim?

Here's what I thought I would do:
1. Remove tire from rim. (Acetone method)
2. hand sand the rim portion that was to be painted (mostly the lip of the rim)
3. Dry
4. Re-mount tire to rim.

If that's the right way to go them I'm pretty set. But my follow up question would be, what kind of paint? And do I need to primer the rim for the paint to stick. I don't want a cheesy looking job.

Well more than likely I'm going with a black rim. But I'm not sure what paint is going to hold the best. I don't know if just a plain ole Krylon will suffice. But I'm gonna do what I gotta do.
