R/C eXpo 2004

Kyosho

Kyosho was proudly displaying their enormous selection of Mini-Z bodies and hosting both onroad and offroad "try-me" and demo Mini tracks and holding an official Mini-Z race event accross the walkway, complete with AMB scoring system, announcer, and a large pit area.

Speaking of Mini-Z's, the Mini-Z Monster was shown in limited production ("one shipment only") trim, featuring a chrome body and full complement of genuine Kyosho hopup parts.

The Twin Force Hyper full option edition was a sight to see as well, with milled 3mm carbon fiber chassis plates, aluminum shocks with ultra soft springs, a rear center universal shaft, preinstalled TCD diff gears, and a new tire style. The body shown does not represent a pre-paint scheme, unfortunately. The kit will come with a clear shell.

Pro-Line

These guys had a real crowd-pleaser with their new "24 Series" (2.4") oversized touring car wheels and tires. They are, believe it or not, real spinners. To make matters even worse, they are dropping two new bodies on us, a Hummer H2 and Cadillac Escalade EXT specifically molded to fit touring car chassis and the new large-diameter wheel/tire sets.

The new inner body graphics sets look quite sharp as well.

Finally, the Power Stroke shocks for Maxxes are going to hit the streets in a couple of weeks:

RPM

The RPM guys Richard Royall & Atticus Overbay gave a very warm welcome as always. Atticus had special thanks to share with the RC10T4.com members whose specific feedback & input was very valuable in the research that led to the reversal of the rebadging of the B3/T3 gear cover as B4/T4 compatible and the development of the B4/T4-specific cover which has since gone on to sell quite well. New for the show, they showed off a delightfully lightweight and functional Mini-T wide front bumper.

The second picture above shows the beefy upgrade a-arms for the Monster GT, already available.
