Though a newcomer in 1/10th scale R/C hobby, the folks at R/C Solutions have significant experience in offroad engineering over the past two decades through the parent company Cutting Edge Manufacturing. Their 1:1 scale desert racing truck was onsite, and quite a sight to see.
The foundation of the Cyber-Maxx Armored Skeletal system is a unique full roll cage design that integrates with the chassis and bulkheads, transforming your chassis a true monocoque design. Each cage is made from two longitudinal and two lateral flat aluminum arches that interlock and bolt together with standoffs. Though the assembly is rugged and inflexible, it weighs a mere 8oz.

Company reps had visitors to their display taking turns jumping up & down on a cage to show its strength, but the true test came when show partner Hacker Brushless USA took their C50-powered Cyber-Maxx equipped E-Maxx out to the off-road stunt track and launched it vertically 15-20' in the air. A few of the landings were quite violent. Several stock parts were broken, but the roll cage looked as good as new, showing no signs of deformation.
R/C Solutions' shock towers, included in their full Cyber-Maxx extended chassis package and also available separately, have built-in integral bump stops to prevent the suspension overcompression that can lead to shock damage. Their skid plates are made of thin 0.042" spring steel and designed to bend back to the bulkheads at the moment of an impact and immediately return to their original shape.
R/C Solutions products can be purchased direct through their website, with distribution deals on the immediate horizon with many retailers.
