Parma PSE

Parma was on hand with a new Ford F-150 body for the Monster GT & other large monsters (part #1204), a licensed Nissan Titan body for Maxxes and other standard 1/10th scale MT's, and a 50's panel truck body for the Losi Mini-T. The latter two products are too new to even have part numbers assigned as of yet.

Jackal

Jackal, rapidly up & coming R/C decal/detailing specialist, was showing off three new concepts. The first is a run of limited-production, hand-painted, detailed bodies (based on Pro-Line & HPI blanks) that are virtually ready to use right off the shelf. Using a proprietary technique, they apply what they call a "lava finish," detail of which you can see in one of the photos. Jackal is also getting into the molding business and plans to release roughly 20 new touring car bodies, 3 standard monster truck shells and later 6 highly advanced body designs for MT's that are evidently going to be quite the head-turners; I couldn't be given hints about them without being shot. Darn.

Imex RC

Imex continued their frantic new product drive, showing off an entire wall of new wheels for monster trucks and now for touring cars alike. A picture is worth a thousand words, so...

Coming up in June will be four new treaded onroad tire designs with molded-in internal webbing to obviate the need for foam inserts.

Next up is the first truly purpose-built crawling tire for Maxx-sized wheels, the D-Rock. These feature aggressive side treads, a very soft compound, a high-profile design and unusually round carcass shape for maximal low-speed, rock-biting grip at any angle.

Last, but absolutely not least, the Imex Girls were on hand to kick things up a couple of notches. I say the R/C community needs posters. ASAP.

RC ScrewZ

Keith Bergevin, the man behind the popular RCScrewZ brand, gave me a photo fitting of a Time Magazine cover (ok maybe not) and hooked me up with a stack of sticker sheets to distribute to URC members. RCScrewZ is filling in the range of 500 orders per week. How Keith still manages to provide timely, one-on-one customer service is beyond me.
